This place is a complete sensory overload in the worst possible way. Everything about this place, the shows, the hotels, the terrible billboards everywhere, screams at you to waste your money on it. Silver Dollar City, the focus of my loathing, is a great example of everything wrong with this city. You pay way too much for way too little when it comes to this place. Every part of the park is either a restaurant or some useless, trivial shop trying to hawk crap to you. The rides are okay, but they are few and far between. Silver Dollar City is more of a gated hell hole (that you pay to enter into!) than an amusement park. The only people amused with this are those collecting your cash.

I would disagree about silver dollar city. It is a nice park a lot better then any of the six flags. We go there and you don’t have to buy all the extra stuff. All parks like silver dollar city try to get your money any way they can.

By what you say, I would think that Heaven it’s self might be a gated Hell to you! I think that your attitude it what needs the overhaul! This is an amusement park after all. My children and I love going for all of the festivals. We can’t wait to go this Christmas to see the lights and all of the FREE shows!
