Days Inn - Fresno, CA
Hotels are known to vary from one extreme to the next. Some bare an uncommonly good appearance and overall service, while others are barely suitable for human occupancy. This is just one more hotel to mark off your list of possible stays.
The Days Inn in Fresno, California bares the sun-stained, washed out look of a perishing hotel. Despite the obvious clues, my track team and I chose this as our residence during the track meet. This choice was based mostly on monetary considerations.
We all spent the night in our respective rooms, awaiting what tomorrow would bring. However, our much needed sleep was interrupted by a loud and annoying air conditioner that turned the room into ice. Shivering for hours, we lay awake miserable.
Then come morning, as I climbed into the shower in the hopes that warm water would awaken my tired mind, I was surprised as I was dosed in icy water.
This hotel was a miserable expert from a traveler’s hell.
