It is a “budget” hotel, which should have been fair warning to us. But nothing else was available the night before the Chicago Marathon, so we decided to risk it. My wife didn’t sleep a wink that night. It felt like a cheap apartment. Here is a photo that sums it up. The name of the hotel was on the towels — In PERMANENT MARKER!!!

Oh my gosh that is incredible! I hope it was a permanent marker. Can imagine what it might look like after a few washes.
